They are trying to really reward skilled players here. The GODS token is pretty limited for a token players can earn for free, and I find it highly undervalued. They have to consider things like bots and token supply. They are building a daily play to earn rewards mechanism but that takes a lot of time. The other major change to the Weekend Ranked earning comes with the addition of GODS tokens. There's also updates to how the rewards change in Mythic rank, but I'll let you check the post for the rest of those details. That is changing starting this weekend, with more Core card packs as rewards. In terms of changes to packs earned - every few wins, players have been able to earn Core and Divine order packs with a heavier lean to Divine Order packs after Gold Rank. If you're not familiar, Weekend Ranked is every weekend in the world of Gods Unchained where the best of the best players come out to earn card packs and climb the ranks. In this Gods Unchained blog post today, they announced a few notable changes to Weekend Ranked play. They are doing this very carefully and tweaking the mechanics as they go to discourage botting and "de-ranking" in order to earn more rewards. Honestly the distribution of the token has been the most strategic and fair that I've seen with any game, despite bots taking advantage. ![]() So for the past 2 months there has been a weekly play to earn campaign where if you hit certain metrics, you earned GODS tokens every week. ![]() This led to a huge drop off in weekly active players, as I kinda expected it would.
